Come, we'll arrange something!

We have been accredited by the European Commission since 2008 as a sending and hosting organisation of the European Solidarity Corps. What does this mean? If you're tempted to go abroad, we're here to help you choose a programme. Also, we offer young people from all over Europe a chance to volunteer with us. All in all, we cover international mobility of the young!

What does the programme offer me?

An opportunity to take part in solidarity activities, get engaged for the benefit of the community, gain valuable experience and competences for personal and career development which can improve your life in many different areas.

What are the main themes addressed by the programme?

You can choose among many activities in a wide range of cities and countries. The European Solidarity Corps programme supports national and local actors, both organisations and individuals, in their efforts to tackle different social challenges and crises. Their missions are very diverse. They work on environmental challenges, intercultural dialogue, natural disaster prevention, education, youth work, humanitarian aid, culture, etc.

Basic information for
individual volunteering

It lasts 2 to 12 months, full-time (30 to 38 hours per week). Young people with fewer opportunities can also be activated for a shorter period (2 weeks to 2 months). It is usually cross-border (it can also be within your home country). It enables you to contribute to the day-to-day work of an organisation that works for the benefit of the local community.

How much will it cost me?

In principle, nothing, but the cost of your daily life depends on the standard of the country you choose.

You don't get a salary for your work, but a compensation.

The project covers:

  • BASIC COSTS (travel to the activity and back, accommodation, food)
  • COMPENSATION (3–6 euros/day, depending on country)
  • INSURANCE (the Henner system)
  • SUPPORT SERVICES (e.g. language support and training)
