Do you have a place to stay? Apply for the dorm and create your own second home! Open up space to explore the world and yourself, upload knowledge and form opinions, make new friends, party, party, party, take exams, get a degree, be who you are, become who you want to be. Create memories with your roommates that will nurture your youth for a lifetime.
The Student Dorm (ŠTU-DIJ DOM) Velenje is located at Efenkova 61a, 3320 Velenje. The Velenje Hostel and Youth Centre Velenje are located at the same address. So, it’s never boring!
You know what else is good? It takes 10 minutes to walk from the dorm to the main bus station or the Velenje School Centre, 15 minutes to the eMCe plac, and the free city bus Lokalc picks you up every 15 minutes in front of the dorm and takes you to the MIC, the shopping centre, the lake, and wherever else you need to go.
The student dorm accommodates 118 people – up to 92 college students and up to 26 high-school students. Get in line!
What are the rooms like? Big and bright!
The college student part of the dorm has apartments for 4 and studio apartments for 2. The apartments have a kitchen, bathroom and 2 rooms with 2 beds. The studio apartments have a kitchen, bathroom and 2 beds. We do not have single rooms. And we have Wi-Fi in every room.
You won’t be bored in Velenje. Something can happen to you every day if you want it to. You have 1001 sports clubs, 1001 workshops, 1001 events.
Follow the calendar of events https://www.velenje.si/za-obcane/koledar-dogodkov/ and make a monthly plan to visit concerts, plays, museums, galleries, cinema, discussions; educational, art and cooking workshops, etc.
Come and hang out in eMCe plac https://emceplac.si/en/ and meet your colleagues from the Šalek Student Club! Organise a concert, design posters, write calls, shoot events, work in the bar, repair lights…
Go on a trip and get to know the Šaleška Valley https://www.visitsaleska.si/en/.
