What do you do?
I am the manager of the hostel and the student dorm. With my dedicated work, professionalism, leadership, and loyalty, I constantly strive, along with my colleagues, to perform our tasks as qualitatively as possible. I know that only a positively motivated team, aiming for ever higher goals, can fulfil planned tasks and do the job well. I believe that only through honesty can we build long-term relationships with key clients and our guests. All this is the path to new successes.
The time I spent in my youth was unburdened by status, comfort, and external appearance; it was modest. We enjoyed our youth with little money, hitchhiking or by train. With pâté in our backpacks, we could spend a whole week by the sea. Socializing and wandering was our guide, but also student work that made everything possible. We weren't really dealing with the future since it was generally guaranteed by completing our studies.
The time young people live in today is marked by artificiality and insincerity, with expectations to be perfect and have a guaranteed above-average successful future. Everything is at 100%.
As a teenager, the hardest thing for me was getting up in the morning and fulfilling all my school obligations.
From that time, I miss the carefreeness and sometimes youthful thoughtlessness and spontaneity.
With friends, I liked to go backpacking.
I liked (though I shouldn’t have) partying when I should have been studying for exams.
Today, I keep myself young with different handcraft projects that interest me.
Today, I would tell my younger self to make the most of your youth and the opportunities that are everywhere. Keep your eyes and ears open and your antennas high up in the air.
What I like most about working with young people is their courage and positive boldness, which we lose more of with the years and fears.
